![]() I would go ahead and test it to find out by myself, however I am sort of scared if I mess things up since I've never before had the need to OC ram nor have I ever tried to. Is it okay to overclock the ram up to 2666Mhz (I have a 1500X and on the AMD website it says that it reads only speeds up to 2667Mhz) or will I encounter issues? ![]() ![]() Now, I don't know whether I've been scammed or its just that my MOBO/Ryzen automatically scaled down my speed, however I wanted to ask before I mess anything up. Now, on the package it doesn't say what speed the RAM is, and on my receipt it says it's 3000Mhz (that's what I paid for and the guy didn't manually type in the code but he scanned the code and it went automatically so I don't think I've been scammed ?) however, in my BIOS it said 2133Mhz. I bought them from a local retailer (not from a person but from an actual store that is very well known in my country) and paid full price for 3000Mhz (3000Mhz is like, $10 more expensive per stick than the 2133Mhz but whatever) and I installed them, no problems so far, however, I downloaded speccy to keep track of temperatures (yes, I know it is very inaccurate) and I noticed that the RAM was labeled as Unknown running at 1064Mhz per stick, and then I was like "Wait that means it's only 2133Mhz, what?" so I went into the BIOS to check, and it wrote 2133Mhz as well. Skill (Aegis if anyone interesting), both supposed to be at 3000Mhz. Hello, so, long story short, I bought 2x8 ram sticks from G.
